Overview

Precision and individuality for medical technology applications

In medical technology, precision, repeatability, and custom geometries are essential. Additive manufacturing enables individual solutions — from patient-specific models to complex parts that are impossible to produce conventionally. Swiss3D offers high-resolution processes like SLA for finest details, MJF and SLS for robust functional parts, and SLM for dense metal components from titanium, stainless steel, or aluminum.

Applications

Application areas

Typical parts and use cases that we manufacture.

Anatomical models

Patient-specific planning models from CT/MRI data — for procedure preparation, training, and communication.

Functional prototypes

Realistic prototypes for instruments and device components — for testing ergonomics, fit, and mechanics.

Custom parts

Tailored components from titanium, stainless steel, or engineering plastics — adapted to specific geometries and requirements.

Dental technology

Drill guides, models, and gingiva masks — high-resolution manufactured for precise fit.

Orthopedic aids

Custom orthoses, splints, and insoles — adapted to individual anatomy and load profiles.

Laboratory fixtures

Holders, adapters, and fixtures for lab automation and diagnostics — precise and chemical-resistant.

Packaging & trays

Custom trays, inserts, and protective housings for sensitive components — precision-fit and reproducible.

Device components

Housing parts, handles, and adapters for diagnostic and therapy devices — in small series or as single pieces.

Frequently asked questions
