3D-printed parts for the automotive industry

Overview

Shorter development cycles through additive manufacturing

In the automotive industry, weeks determine market success. Tool-dependent processes slow down iteration — additive manufacturing does not. Swiss3D enables your teams to test geometries, compare material variants, and validate assemblies before tools are commissioned. Our seven printing processes cover the entire spectrum: from large-format FDM parts for packaging tests to isotropic MJF serial parts to fully dense SLM metal components.

Applications

Application areas

Typical parts and use cases that we manufacture.

Engine compartment prototypes

Intake manifolds, brackets, and covers in PA12 or metal — heat-resistant up to 180°C, ready in a few business days.

Interior components

Dashboard panels, air vents, and center console prototypes in production finish — painted, printed, or raw.

Assembly fixtures

Gauges, holders, and positioning aids for the production line — individually designed, quickly adapted.

Replacement & retrofit parts

No longer available components reproduced as single pieces — via 3D scan and reverse engineering.

Structural test parts

Load-bearing chassis and suspension prototypes in aluminum or stainless steel for test bench validation.

Optics & lighting

Transparent SLA parts for headlight geometries, light guide tests, and design approvals.

Aerodynamic models

Scale-accurate wind tunnel bodies and flow sleeves — surface-smoothed for reliable measurement data.

Cable guides & clips

Functional fastening elements, cable channel prototypes, and clip geometries for electrical integration.

Frequently asked questions

3D-Scan Service anfragen.
