Polylactide with carbon fibers (PLA-CF)

Short description: PLA-CF is a composite variant of the standard PLA filament, reinforced with carbon fiber. This addition improves the stiffness, strength and thermal resistance of the material while keeping it lightweight. PLA-CF is ideal for applications where higher mechanical strength and reduced elongation is required compared to regular PLA.

Suitable uses:

  • Parts that require higher strength and rigidity
  • Structural components for drones, RC models
  • Lightweight construction applications
  • Prototypes that require greater resistance

Unsuitable uses:

  • Applications that require a high degree of flexibility
  • Parts that are exposed to long-term sunlight or high temperatures
  • Applications where a smooth surface finish is required
